How Capitol Anesthesiology Association Provides Outstanding Service

Capitol Anesthesiology Association was launched in 1973 in Austin, Texas. They built their exceptional brand of service with 80 doctors certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. The addition of more than 130 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists that are Board Certified complements their staff.

The CAA services the Hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers across Austin, Texas. Some of the physicians have more than one specialization in the field of anesthesia.

This is a specialized field that requires years of additional studies in the fields of Thoracic Anesthesia, Cardiovascular, Obstetrics, and Pediatrics.

The recently opened Dell Medical School has increased the demand for anesthesiologists. The CAA has assisted medical residents and students, nurses and nurse anesthetists and paramedics to further their education in anesthesiology.

There are three main categories of Anesthesia.

The Local or Monitored Anesthesia Care or Twilight Sleep is administered through and IV to reduce the anxiety and pain.

The Regional Anesthesia affects a specific area of the body. The pain is controlled during and after the procedure.

General Anesthesia is given to the patient when a specific type of surgery needs the patient unconscious and still. The patient’s vital signs are monitored during the length of the surgery.

The CAA has a strong presence in the community and globally. The doctors and nurses donate their time and skills and to The Partnerships for Children, Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Austin Smiles and a host of other charities and organizations.

The Capitol Anesthesiology Association has proven for more than 40 years that they will continue to offer the public exceptional service.
