Neurocore are about diagnosis the problems with the brains performance and then helping our patients to improve brain function and one way we have learned how to do this is through diet.

The Mediterranean diet focuses on fruits, vegetables, legumes and grains; with seafood and poultry replacing the red meat we typically eat a Western diet, as well as minimizing dairy and fat.

A prime difference between the Western and Mediterranean diets, is that Westerners use salt, pepper, and butter to enhance food flavors; whereas, Mediterranean’s use olive oil, herbs, and spices.

Omega 3 fatty acids is an excellent source for improving brain health and seafood is filled with this. Scientists also believe that fiber and antioxidants reduce inflammation in the body, and the Mediterranean diet is rich with both of these. Scientists have also found that fatty acids such as Omega 3, antioxidants, and fiber helps to retain the protein in the brain, which is a primary aid to fighting depression.
